【브레이크뉴스 성주】이성현 기자=성주군의회(의장 도희재)는 11일 8일간의 제288회 임시회를 개회하고 2025년도의정활동에 본격 돌입했다.

이번 임시회에서는 특히 2025년 군정 주요 업무보고가 예정되어 있다. 한 해 군정을 설계하는 첫 과정인 만큼 의회와 집행부가 성주군의 발전 방향에 대해 함께 고민하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가질 것으로 기대된다.

아울러 이날 본회의에서는 2024회계연도 결산검사위원 5명을 선임하고, 집행부 제출 안건 5건을 심의·의결하였다. 또한 장익봉 의원이 5분 자유발언에 나섰다.

장익봉 의원은 경기침체로 위축된 지역경제를 살리고 군민들의 경제적부담을 경감하는 방안으로 지역 생산 자재 사용 활성화를 꼽았다.

성주군에서도 ‘성주군 지역건설산업 활성화 촉진에 관한 조례’를제정하여 지역 건설업체의 자재 및 장비 사용을 권장하고 있으나 여전히 대규모 공사의 경우 타 지역자재가 우선적으로 사용되고있어, 실질적인효과를 거두지 못한다고 지적했다.

이에 지역 자재를 활성화하기 위해서는 먼저 품질과 가격 경쟁력을향상할방안을 모색하고, 지자체뿐만 아니라 유관기관 등 지역 사회의지속적인 협력이 필요함을 강조했다.

도희재 의장은 “9대 의회가 햇수로 4년 차인 올해는 사실상 의정의 막바지 해로 이제는 군민의 행복을 위해 참된 결실을 맺어야 하는 중요한 시기로 군민 생활과 직결된 각종 현안을 현명하게 해결하여 군민들의 삶을 더욱 즐겁고 풍요롭게 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.” 라며 을사년 새해 포부를 밝혔다.
