이날 회의에는 경북도 내 시장·군수 전원이 참석해 협의회 사무국 운영 방안과 각 시군 건의사항 회신 결과 등 지방자치 발전과 지역 상생을 위한 핵심 의제가 집중적으로 다뤄졌다.

회의에서는 먼저 각 시군이 제출한 건의사항 2건에 대한 정부 회신 결과가 공유됐다. 울진군이 건의한 ‘조림사업 하자보수 실효성 확보를 위한 일반지침 마련’은 산림청이 수용해 2026년 사업계획에 반영하기로 했으며, 칠곡군이 건의한 ‘개발제한구역 내 농촌체류형 쉼터 설치 관련 규제완화’는 국토교통부가 수용 곤란 입장을 회신했다.

또한 협의회 사무국 운영안이 보고되었으며, 사무국장 1명, 실무직원 1명, 전문위원으로 구성해 2026년 1월 개소를 목표로 추진 중이다.

김주수 협의회장은 “경북 22개 시군이 한자리에 모여 머리를 맞대는 것은 지역 경쟁력 강화와 지방자치 실현의 핵심 과정”이라며, “오늘 논의된 내용이 중앙정부와 경북도의 정책에 실질적으로 반영되도록 협의회가 적극적인 역할을 하겠다”고 말했다.

The Gyeongbuk Mayors and County Mayors Council (Chairman Kim Ju-soo, Mayor of Uiseong County) held its 17th regular meeting of the 8th elected government at 11:00 AM on October 28th at the Janggyehyang Cultural Experience Education Center in Yeongyang County. The meeting discussed key issues across the province's 22 cities and counties.

All mayors and county mayors in Gyeongbuk Province attended the meeting, which focused on key agenda items for the development of local autonomy and regional coexistence, including the council's secretariat operation plan and the results of responses to suggestions submitted by each city and county.

The meeting first shared the government's responses to two suggestions submitted by each city and county. Uljin County's proposal for "general guidelines for ensuring the effectiveness of afforestation project defect repairs" was accepted by the Korea Forest Service and will be reflected in the 2026 business plan.
