이날 행사에는 최근 경북교육감 출마를 선언한 마숙자 출마예정자가 참석해 주목을 받았다. 김 저자와 마 출마예정자는 경북 교육의 근본적인 체질 개선을 목표로 가칭 ‘경북 교육 동행 포럼’을 창립할 계획임을 밝히고, 지역 교육 현안에 대한 지속적인 논의와 협력의 장을 마련하겠다는 뜻을 전했다.
