또한 대구·경북 행정통합을 가정한 ‘현 임종식·강은희 교육감을 상대할 대구·경북 교육감 단일화 후보로 누가 더 적합한가’라는 문항에서도 김상동 후보는 마숙자 후보를 앞선 것으로 나타났다.

이번 조사(경북교육감선거 단일화 여론조사)는 ㈜스노우볼이 여론조사 전문기관인 한길리서치에 의뢰해 지난 2월 7일 ~ 8일까지 구조화된 설문지를 이용한 무선 ARS 조사 방법 (휴대전화 가상번호 100%)으로 실시했으며 경상북도에 거주하는 만18세 이상 성인 남녀 1,002명를 대상으로 했다.   표본추출은 2026년 1월말 행정안전부 주민등록 통계에 따른 성, 연령, 지역별 할당 무작위 추출했다. 응답률: 5.5%, 표본 오차는 95% 신뢰수준에 오차범위 ± 3.1%p이다. 

경상북도 교육감 현안조사는  ㈜스노우볼이 여론조사 전문기관인 알앤써치에 의뢰해 지난 2월 7일 ~ 8일까지 경상북도에 거주하는 만18세 이상 남녀  1,002명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용한 무선 (100%)자동응답 방식으로 이뤄졌다.
