경북교육청 임종식 교육감 ‘온전한 교육회복’을 임기 최우선 과제로 제시했다고 밝혔다. 

14일 임종식 교육감은 경북교육 2기 출범에 따라 4대 청사진을 밝히면서, 코로나19의 장기화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 학교 현장과 학생들을 위해 온전한 교육회복에 행정역량을 집중하겠다고 전했다.

 경북교육청은 코로나19로 인한 교육결손을 극복하고 나아가 미래교육으로 도약하기 위해‘우리 모두 다 함께 온전한 교육회복, 우리 모두를 위한 미래교육 대전환’을 비전으로 △교육결손 회복 △취약계층 맞춤 지원 △교육여건 개선 3개 분야 총 86개 과제를 흔들림 없이 추진해 오고 있다. 

 이를 위해 총 3,656억 원의 예산을 투입해 과제별 집중지원을 해오고 있으며, 제1회 추가경정 예산을 통해 3,438억 원을 추가로 확보해 학생들의 학습결손 해소와 마음건강 회복에 집중 투입할 예정이다.

 특히 학습결손 해소를 위해 학생의 수준과 희망을 고려한 맞춤형 교과보충 프로그램인‘우리 반 희망 사다리 교실’을 초·중·고 589교, 총 6,867학급을 대상으로 운영했으며 하반기 운영을 위해 112억 원을 추가로 투입할 계획이다.

한편 경북교육청은 학습결손 해소와 함께 심리·정서, 사회성 회복 프로그램 운영에도 박차를 가하고 있다.

맞춤형 지원을 통한 몸과 마음 건강의 회복을 도모하기 위해 ‘동식물과 함께하는 심리·정서 안정 지원 프로그램’을 초·중·고·특수학교 238교를 대상으로 운영하고 있다.

 또래활동, 놀이활동, 사제동행활동 등을 통한 학급 단위 맞춤형 인성교육 프로그램인‘우리 모두 다함께’는 초·중·고·특수학교 1,619학급에서 운영되고 있으며, 행복 경험을 통한 긍정적 인식 함양을 위해 초·중·고 1,683학급을‘행복교육 실천학급’으로 선정해 운영하고 있다.

 임종식 교육감은 “학생들의 교육결손이 객관적으로 확인된 만큼 이를 만회할 수 있는 교육프로그램들을 속도감 있게 추진할 것”이라며 “심리·정서적 문제뿐만 아니라 성장하면서 채워나가야 할 사회성 회복 등 학생들이 학업에 집중할 수 있도록 도교육청의 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
