주 부의장은 "정 대표의 이번 대구 방문이 보여주기식으로 끝나서는 안 된다"며, "2월 임시국회 안에 통합특별법 처리를 민주당 당론으로 확정하라"고 요구했다.

아울러 광주·전남 행정통합 법안과의 형평성 문제도 짚었다. 주 부의장은 "광주·전남 법안은 신속 처리하면서 TK 법안은 지역 내 이견을 이유로 보류하는 건 명백한 차별"이라며 "특별법을 쟁점 법안 추진의 지렛대로 활용하는 행태를 중단하라"고 촉구했다.

한편 주 부의장은 "2월 임시국회 내 통합특별법 처리를 위해 힘을 모아준 송언석 원내대표와 대구·경북 의원들에게 감사하다"며 "국민의힘 TK 의원들은 법사위 개최를 강하게 요구하며, 끝까지 흔들림 없이 자리를 지킬 것"이라고 말했다.

Vice Speaker Joo stated, "It's clear discrimination to expedite the Gwangju-Jeonnam bill while holding back the TK bill due to regional differences." He urged, "Stop using the special law as leverage to push for controversial bills."
