이번에 확보한 특별교부금은 ▲영천시 영안중학교 소규모 옥외체육관 건립에 2억5천만원, ▲성남여고 기숙사 보수에 2억9,700만원, ▲청도군 유천초등학교 소규모 옥외체육관 건립에 2억5,000만원이 투입될 예정이다.
그동안 고농도 미세먼지 등 대기질 악화로 지역 학생들의 체육활동이 제한되는 등 교육환경 개선이 절실한 상황이었다. 영천시 영안중학교와 청도군 유천초등학교에 소규모 옥외체육관 건립 특별교부금이 확보되면서 학생들에게 다양한 체육활동과 문화활동, 각종 강연 등 더 나은 교육기회를 제공할 수 있게 됐다.
또한 영천시 성남여고 기숙사 보수를 통해 학생들이 더욱 쾌적하고 안전한 교육환경에서 안정적으로 교육을 받을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
이만희 의원은 “앞으로도 우리 영천·청도의 교육현장 목소리를 잘 경청하고, 학생들이 보다 좋은 환경에서 공부할 수 있도록 교육인프라 개선에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
