이만희 의원에 따르면 영천시의 주요 국책 SOC 사업 예산으로 수도권과 중부내륙권 그리고 경남권을연결하는 철도의 복선전철화로 물류 수송망 연계구축 및 교통 여건 개선 등의 효과가 예상되는 ▲‘도담~영천’ 중앙선 복선전철화(5,190억원), ▲‘동대구~영천’ 복선전철화(93억원) 그리고 ▲‘영천~신경주’ 복선전철화(808억원) 사업에 총 6,091억원이 확정됐다.

또한, 영천 및 청송지역 통행 차량의 교통체증을 해소하고 사고 예방 및병목현상 방지를 위한‘북영천IC~선천리’ 국도 확장사업(70억원)도 순조롭게 진행 중인 것으로 나타났다.

그리고 지난해 사업이 착수된 영천하이테크파크지구의 원활한 준공을 위한▲진입도로(35억원) 및 ▲간선도로(12억원) 건설 그리고 ▲용수공급시설 설치(15억원) 예산 62억원도 반영됐다.

아울러, 영천시의 경우 도농복합도시인 만큼 농업·농촌의 발전을 위한 예산도 빼놓을 수 없다. 농림부 공모사업 등을 통해 선정된 ▲과실전문생산단지 기반조성 사업 5개소에 대한 예산 28억원을 비롯해 농촌지역의 취약한 생활 여건 개선을 위한 ▲농촌중심지활성화사업(17억원), ▲신활력플러스사업(14억원), ▲기초초생활거점육성사업(7억원) 그리고 ▲농어촌새뜰마을사업(4억원) 등에 총 70억원이 반영됐다.

신규사업으로는 국립영천호국원의 봉안시설이 향후 3년 이내로 만장이 예상됨에 따라 봉안당 확충을 위한 예산 18억원이 국회 심의과정에서새롭게 편성됐다.

이외 확보한 주요 사업 예산(계속 및 경북포괄사업 포함)으로는 ▲노후상수도정비사업 80억원, ▲하수관로정비사업 51억원, ▲도시재생뉴딜사업 46억원, ▲농어촌마을하수도정비 41억원 그리고 ▲미세먼지차단숲 및 정책숲조성 사업 18억원 등이다.

청도군을 살펴보면 주요 SOC사업이자 현안 사업으로 조만간 실시설계가 마무리될 것으로 예상되는 ▲‘마령재터널’ 사업의 착공을 위한 예산 9억원을 비롯해 ▲‘청도~밀양2’ 국도 개량(139억원), ▲‘매전~건천간’국도개량(101억원) 그리고 ▲‘운문~도계간’ 국지도개량 사업(4억원)에 총 253억원이 확정됐으며 국회 차원에서 약 42억원 이상이 증액된 것으로나타났다.

청도군의 교통 SOC 사업들이 완료되면 앞으로 대구, 부산 그리고 경남 등주변 지역과의 원활한 물류 수송으로 지역균형개발을 촉진하고 청도로 통하는 주요 도로의 교통체증 해소 및 이용자들의 안전성을 확보할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

아울러, 신규 사업 예산으로는 ▲청도군 보건소 청사 신축 이전 13억원(총사업비 193억원)과 ▲운문사 비구니 문화역사관 건립 사업 5억원(총사업비100억원)이 눈에 띈다.

지난 2월 코로나19의 확산으로 인해 사업 필요성이 대두된 청도군 보건소신축 이전 사업은 예산확보를 위해 이만희 의원이 보건복지부와 행정안전부등 관계기관과 긴밀한 협의를 해온 것으로 알려졌으며, 청도 운문사 문화역사관 건립 사업은 운문사가 보유한 문화재의 보존·관리뿐만 아니라 전통문화체험을 통해 국민의 문화 향유 기회를 증대할 것으로 기대된다.

또한, 복숭아, 반시(떫은감) 등 주요 과수 주산지로 알려진 청도군의 농가소득 창출과 농촌환경 개선을 위한 예산도 확보됐다.

이외 확보한 주요 사업 예산(계속 및 경북포괄사업 포함)으로 ▲청도군 각북면의 수질개선 및 주민생활환경 개선을 위한 하수관거정비사업 5억원,▲자연재해위험개선지구정비사업 53억원, ▲가축분뇨공공처리시설 34억원, ▲급경사지붕괴위험지역정비 20억원, ▲노후상수도정비사업 17억원, 그리고▲미세먼지저감숲 및 정책숲가꾸기 사업 3억원 등이다.
