【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=국민의힘 김재욱 칠곡군수 예비후보는 지난 9일 왜관읍 선거사무소에서 “칠곡군 경제를 새롭게 디자인하고 디지털 경제혁신을 통해 군민들이 먹고사는 문제를 해결하는 군수가 될 것”이라며 출마를 선언했다.

TBC방송국 상무이사와 윤석열 후보 중앙선거대책본부 직능본부 경제특보를 지낸 김 예비후보는 이날 선거사무소 개소식과 함께 출마를 공식적으로 선언하며 본격적인 선거 레이스에 돌입했다. 

개소식에는 나경원 전 국민의힘 원내대표를 비롯해 정희용·조경태·송언석·이만희 국민의힘 국회의원들이 축전과 축하 영상을 통해 선거사무소 개소를 축하했다. 

김관용 전 경북도지사는 장문의 손 편지로 힘을 보탰고 칠곡군 주요 사회단체와 문화 예술관계자 등은 바쁜 일정에도 선거사무소를 직접 찾아와 김 예비후보를 응원했다.

나경원 전 원내대표는 “김재욱 예비후보는 대학교 동기라서 제가 잘 알고 있다” 며 “전문성, 인성, 리더십을 두루 갖춘 인재로 칠곡군을 한 단계 더 도약시킬 유능한 경제 전문가임을 보장한다” 며 김 예비후보 지지를 호소했다.

정희용 국회의원은 “개소식을 통해 김재욱 예비후보의 다양한 활동을 통해 얻은 깊은 경험과 노하우가 더욱 널리 알려지길 기대한다”며 격려했다.

김 예비후보는 “칠곡 경제는 풍부한 성장 잠재력에도 구미 경제가 기침을 하면 독감을 앓았다” 며 “선거사무소 개소식을 통해 칠곡의 경제 독립을 선언한다” 고 밝혔다. 

그러면서 “파격적인 기업 인센티브와 규제 철폐를 통해 첨단 산업과 국내 복귀 리쇼어링 기업을 유치하고 신공항 물류중심지로 육성할 것” 이라며 “지역화폐 발행 규모를 확대하고 소상공인이 체감할 수 있는 지원책도 마련할 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

이밖에 공공(무료)와이파이망 구축을 통해 군민의 통신비 절감과 디지털 경제기반 조성을 약속해 눈길을 끌었다.
