이날 공동투쟁단의 송정현 공동대표는 포항 지역의 장애인 및 교통약자 시민이 체감하는 이동권 및 접근권의 열악함을 지적하며 “포항시의 구체적인 정책적 계획은 그 중요성에도 불구하고 거의 발견되고 있지 않다” 고 밝혔다.

또한 송 대표는 “장애인 탈시설·자립생활을 위한 권리 보장과 장애로 인한 관광약자를 위해 문화·편의시설 접근권 보장 등을 위한 관련 조례 제정이 시급하다”고 주장했다.

이에 대해 유 후보는 “시장에 당선되면 장애인 및 교통약자의 이동권 현실을 충분히 반영할 만한 내용들을 모니터링하고 정책 간담회 등을 통하여 의견 수렴을 하여 권리보장 정책을 성실히 추진할 것”이라고 약속했다.
