블루원측에 따르면 블루원배 주니어골프선수권대회에는 남녀 각각 초등부 16명, 중등부 38명, 고등부 44명 등 모두 176명이 참가한다. 코로나로 인해 2년 만에 열리는 권위 있는 대회로 남녀 국가대표와 국가상비군(주니어 포함)을 포함한 초·중·고등부 최우수 선수들이 대부분 참가한다. 7월 13일까지 참가를 신청할 수 있으며 최근 수년간 국내 주요대회에서 거둔 상위 성적순으로 참가선수를 최종 결정한다.

경기는 3라운드 54홀 스트로크 플레이 방식으로 진행한다. 4인1조로 1, 2라운드 18홀 경기 후 cut off를 적용해 부별 약 50% 인원으로 3인 1조 최종 3라운드를 진행해 우승자를 가린다. 공식 연습일은 7월 26일이다.
