이날 행사에는 이근용 총장과 박순진 대구대학교 총장을 비롯한 양 대학 주요 보직자와 교수진이 참석했으며, 전국 각지에서 모인 졸업생·신입생과 가족들이 함께해 의미를 더했다.

대학은 추운 날씨 속 참석자를 위해 별도로 카페를 대관해 따뜻한 음료를 제공하고, 행사장 외부에 ‘인생네컷’ 포토부스를 마련해 졸업과 입학의 순간을 기념할 수 있도록 했다.
