【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용)는 지난 11월 25일 언어치료학과 졸업생 최은서 씨가 국내 최초로 한국어 QBA 시험과 영어 QBA 시험을 모두 합격하는 쾌거를 거두었다고 9일 밝혔다.

대구사이버대학교에 따르면 QBA(Qualified Behavior Analyst)는 발달장애 및 문제행동 중재 분야에서 근거기반 서비스를 제공하는 전문가에게 부여되는 국제 행동분석 자격으로, 전 세계적으로 전문성을 인정받는 국제 인증이다.

한국어 QBA 시험은 한국 내에서 공식적으로 인정되는 자격이며, 영어 QBA 시험은 미국을 포함한 영어권 국가에서 활용되는 국제 버전으로, 두 시험을 모두 합격한 사례가 국내에서 확인된 것은 이번이 처음이다.

최은서 졸업생은 한국에서 주한미군 가족을 대상으로 하는 상담심리센터에서 근무하며, 국내·해외 환경 모두에서 전문성을 갖추기 위해 두 시험을 동시에 준비했다. 특히 국제 기준에 맞춘 영어 시험까지 통과함으로써 행동분석 전문가로서의 역량을 대내외적으로 인정받게 되었다.

또한, 최은서 씨는 대구사이버대학교 언어치료학과 재학 시절, QBA 응시를 위해 필요한 ▲언어행동분석 ▲응용행동분석기법 ▲행동치료이론 등 QABA에서 인정하는 필수 교과목을 체계적으로 이수하며 자격시험 응시 요건을 충족했다.

최은서 씨는 “국내뿐 아니라 국제 환경에서도 전문성을 갖춘 행동분석가가 되고 싶었다”며 “대구사이버대학교의 체계적인 교육과 교수진의 지원 덕분에 국내 최초 이중 합격이라는 성과를 얻을 수 있었다”고 소감을 전했다.

대구사이버대학교 이근용 총장님은 “국제 행동분석 분야에서 국내 최초의 이중 합격자가 배출된 것은 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 대구사이버대학교는 재활·복지·치료 특성화 사이버대학으로 전문인력 양성에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
