【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용)는 지난 30일 대구사이버대학교 본관 C.I.R 회의실에서 (사)한국특수교육총연합회(회장 조현관)와 특수교육 분야의 전문성 강화와 지속 가능한 교육 협력체계 구축을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 대구사이버대학교에서 이근용 총장을 비롯해 전종국 부총장, 윤은경 대학원장, 김한양 기획처장, 박상희 교무처장, 도진우 사무처장, 김천수 평생교육원장이 참석했으며, (사)한국특수교육총연합회 측에서는 조현관 회장, 최정옥 대구영화학교 교장, 전용석 포항명도학교 교장, 김형진 사무총장, 정광윤 정책실장, 윤은혜 팀장이 함께 자리했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 ▲특수교육 관련 연수 프로그램의 공동 개발 및 운영 ▲특수교육 관련 공동 연구 및 학술세미나 개최 ▲총연합회 임직원 및 가족의 대구사이버대학교 입학 시 산학협력장학금 지급 ▲대구사이버대학교 특수교육 관련 교직원 및 학생의 한국특수교육총연합회 회원 가입 및 활동 지원 ▲장애인 사이버 평생학습 플랫폼 홍보 협력 등 다양한 분야에서 상호 협력하기로 합의했다.

이근용 총장은 “이번 협약은 특수교육의 미래를 함께 설계하는 소중한 출발점”이라며, “양 기관이 보유한 전문성과 인프라를 바탕으로 특수교육 전문인력 양성 및 평생학습 확산에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

조현관 회장 또한 “대구사이버대학교와의 협력은 전국의 특수교육 관계자들에게 더욱 폭넓은 교육 기회를 제공하는 계기가 될 것”이라며, “앞으로의 협업을 통해 특수교육 분야 발전에 의미 있는 성과를 만들어가길 바란다”고 전했다.

양 기관은 앞으로도 특수교육의 전문성 강화와 저변 확대를 위한 다양한 공동사업을 지속적으로 추진해 나갈 방침이다.

한편, 대구사이버대학교는 오는 ‘8월 19일(월)’까지 2025학년도 2학기 2차 신·편입생 모집을 진행하고 있다. 모집 학과는 ▲놀이치료학과 ▲미술치료학과 ▲언어치료학과 ▲행동치료학과 ▲상담심리학과 ▲심리운동학과 ▲임상심리학과 ▲재활상담학과 ▲사회복지학과 ▲사회복지상담학과 ▲특수교육학과 ▲한국어다문화학과 ▲행정학과 ▲전기전자공학과 ▲K-푸드비즈니스학과 등 총 15개 학과이다.

Daegu Cyber University Signs MOU with Korea Federation of Special Education Associations to Advance Special Education

Daegu Cyber University (President Lee Keun-yong) announced on the 30th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Federation of Special Education Associations (Chairman Cho Hyun-kwan) in the C.I.R. conference room of the university's main building to strengthen expertise in special education and establish a sustainable educational cooperation system.

Daegu Cyber University representatives attended the signing ceremony, including President Lee Keun-yong, Vice President Jeon Jong-kook, Dean of Graduate School Yoon Eun-kyung, Dean of Planning Kim Han-yang, Dean of Academic Affairs Park Sang-hee, Director of the Office of General Affairs Do Jin-woo, and Director of the Lifelong Education Center Kim Cheon-soo. From the Korea Federation of Special Education Associations, representatives included President Cho Hyun-kwan, Principal Choi Jeong-ok of Daegu Film School, Principal Jeon Yong-seok of Pohang Myeongdo School, Secretary General Kim Hyung-jin, Director of Policy Jeong Gwang-yoon, and Team Leader Yoon Eun-hye.

Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to collaborate in various areas, including: joint development and operation of special education-related training programs; joint research and academic seminars on special education; provision of industry-academic cooperation scholarships to the Federation's staff and their families upon admission to Daegu Cyber University; support for Daegu Cyber University's special education faculty and students to join and participate in the Korea Federation of Special Education's membership programs; and collaboration on promoting the cyber lifelong learning platform for the disabled.

President Lee Keun-yong stated, "This agreement is a valuable starting point for designing the future of special education together. We expect that both organizations will leverage their expertise and infrastructure to contribute to the training of special education professionals and the expansion of lifelong learning."

Chairman Cho Hyun-kwan added, "Our collaboration with Daegu Cyber University will provide broader educational opportunities for special education professionals nationwide. We hope that our future collaboration will produce meaningful results for the advancement of the special education field."

The two organizations plan to continue pursuing various joint projects to strengthen the expertise and expand the reach of special education.

Meanwhile, Daegu Cyber University is currently accepting applications for its second round of new and transfer students for the second semester of the 2025 academic year, until Monday, August 19th. The following 15 departments are currently accepting applications: Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Counseling Psychology, Psychokinesis, Clinical Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Welfare, Social Welfare Counseling, Special Education, Korean Language and Multicultural Studies, Public Administration, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and K-Food Business.
