【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용) 행동치료학과(학과장 조정연)는 지난 10일 경북 구미 지역에서 ‘찾아가는 금쪽상담실’을 개최하며 학문 기반의 지역사회 소통 활동을 강화했다.

이번 행사는 대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과가 주최하고 동심누리어린이집이 주관했으며, 기획 단계부터 구미 지역 학부모들의 높은 관심을 모았다.

행사에서는 동심누리어린이집 곽동심 원장의 인사말 이후 강영모 교수가 ‘우리 아이 문제행동, 긍정적으로 훈육하기’를 주제로 부모교육 특강을 진행했다. 강 교수는 부모들이 현실적인 양육 어려움 속에서도 긍정적이고 일관된 태도를 유지할 수 있도록 행동분석 원리를 토대로 한 구체적 실천 방안을 제시했다.

특강에 이어 조정연 학과장이 진행한 집단상담에서는 학부모들의 실제 양육 고민을 바탕으로 심층 논의가 이어졌다. 동생 출생 이후 변화된 첫째 아이의 행동, 머리카락에 집착하는 아이, 높은 소리를 내며 관심을 끌려는 아이, 부모 간 지시 순응도 차이가 큰 아이 등 다양한 사례가 다뤄졌다.

곽동심 원장은 “학부모들의 반응이 예상보다 뜨거웠고, 질의응답이 끊임없이 이어질 만큼 호응이 컸다”며 “향후에도 대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과와 협력할 기회가 있다면 적극적으로 참여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

조정연 학과장은 “행동치료학과에는 자녀 양육 역량을 높이기 위해 입학하는 학부모들이 많았다”며 “특히 재학생이 기관장으로 재직 중인 기관과 협력해 지역사회에 기여한 점이 의미 있다”고 강조했다.

강영모 교수는 “구미 지역의 운영 사례를 시작으로 ‘찾아가는 금쪽상담실’을 전국으로 확대해 나갈 계획”이라며 “응용행동분석(ABA)이 이론에 머물지 않고 실제 삶의 질 향상에 기여하는 학문으로 자리 잡도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
