【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구사이버대(총장 이근용)가 ‘대구사이버대학교 개교 20주년 기념식'을 개최했다.
대구대학교 평생교육관에서 열린 이번 기념식은 이근용 대구사이버대학교 총장, 대구대학교 최병재 부총장, 김성재 총학생회장 등을 비롯해 대학 구성원 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행되었다.
기념식은 이근용 총장의 기념사에 이어 ▲내빈 기념사 ▲학생 포상 ▲기념영상 시청 등의 순서로 진행되었다. 또한 역대 총학생회, 총동창회를 시상 및 격려했으며, 개교기념 명사특강(화성의과학대학교 총장 김진영-「대학, Service Experience로 승부하다」)이 진행되었다.
이날 임정규 총동창회장은 “우리 대학은 특성화 교육의 선도주자로서의 역할을 톡톡히 해냈다고 평가하면서, 올해 제 8대 총동창회 출범을 맞이하여 졸업생들의 애교심을 고취시킬 수 있는 총동창회가 되도록 노력할 것이다”라고 밝혔다.
김성재 총학생회장은 “사랑·빛·자유의 건학 정신을 바탕으로 소외된 이들의 교육과 복지의 길을 열어주기 위해 많은 인재 배출해오고 있다”며 “대학의 20살은 청년기 황금기라고 할 수 있기에 구성원 모두가 다시 도약하는 계기가 되었으면 좋겠다.”는 소감을 전했다.
이근용 총장은 “지난 20년간 많은 변화와 위기 속에서 교수, 교직원, 학생, 동문 등 구성원들의 헌신과 노력이 없었다면 불가능했던 일이라”며 “향후 다가올 미래 사회를 위해 큰 역할을 하는 대구사이버대학교가 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.
