【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용) 한국어다문화학과 자원봉사 동아리 ‘가나다-보들나무’는 지난 8일 온라인 화상회의(Zoom)를 통해 제5기 단원 발대식을 성황리에 개최했다.

‘보들나무’는 시각장애인 한국어 교원들의 교육 활동을 지원하기 위해 2021년에 창단된 봉사 단체로, 올해 5기를 맞이하며 매년 지속적인 활동을 이어오고 있다. 이번 발대식에는 새롭게 선발된 30명의 신입 단원이 참여하여 시각장애인 한국어 교원들을 지원하는 중요한 역할을 맡을 것을 다짐했다.

특히, 이번 5기 단원들은 졸업생과 4학년 재학생들로 구성되어 있으며, 앞으로 1년간 시각장애인 교원들이 담당하는 학습자의 글쓰기 과제에 대한 피드백 제공 등 실질적인 교육 지원 활동을 진행할 예정이다.

발대식에서는 봉사 서약과 함께 한국어 교육에 대한 사명감을 되새기는 시간이 마련됐다. 장기간 활동을 이어온 선배 단원들이 신입 단원들에게 봉사 경험을 나누고, 지속적인 참여의 중요성과 활동의 가치를 강조하여 큰 감동을 주었다.

또한, 올해 단원들은 국립국어원의 학습자 오류 말뭉치 활용법을 배우고, 이를 실습하는 기회를 통해 외국인 학습자의 쓰기 능력 향상을 지원하는 등 더 전문적인 피드백을 제공할 수 있는 역량을 키울 예정이다.

류현향 단장(한국어다문화학과 졸업생)은 “시각장애인 한국어 교원들과 함께 한국어 교육의 완전한 균형을 맞추는 데 기여할 수 있어 큰 자부심을 느낀다”며, “앞으로도 전문성을 갖춘 봉사활동을 지속하며, 한국어가 세계적인 언어로 자리 잡는 데 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

윤은경 학과장(한국어다문화학과)은 “보들나무 봉사단의 활동은 한국어 교육을 전공한 학생들에게 실제 교육 현장 경험을 제공하는 소중한 기회가 된다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 협력하여 활동의 폭을 넓히고, 한국어 교육의 사회적 가치를 실현해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.

‘가나다-보들나무’는 창단 이래 시각장애인 한국어 교원들을 위한 다양한 지원 활동을 꾸준히 전개하고 있으며, 이번 5기 단원들은 선배들의 경험을 바탕으로 더욱 발전된 봉사 모델을 제시할 것으로 기대된다.

Department Head Yoon Eun-kyung (Department of Korean Language and Multicultural Studies) emphasized, “The activities of the Bodulnamu Volunteer Group are a valuable opportunity to provide students majoring in Korean language education with real-world educational experience,” and added, “We will continue to expand the scope of our activities and realize the social value of Korean language education in cooperation with the local community.” Since its establishment, ‘Ganada-Bodulnamu’ has been consistently carrying out various support activities for visually impaired Korean language teachers, and the 5th group members are expected to present a more advanced service model based on the experiences of their seniors.
