【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과가 지난 16일 서울 은평구에 위치한 구립응암행복어린이집과 행동발달재활서비스 제공 인력 및 행동분석전문가 양성을 위한 상호교류협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 ‘대구사이버대학교 서울캠퍼스’를 기반으로 수도권에 거주하는 재학생들에게 보다 안정적이고 체계적인 현장실습 여건을 제공하기 위해 추진됐다. 특히 검증된 국공립 교육·보육기관과의 협력 네트워크를 확대 구축했다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

구립응암행복어린이집은 영유아 정원 98명 규모의 국공립 장애통합어린이집으로, 보육교직원 26명이 근무하고 있다. 특수교육을 전공한 원장의 운영 아래 장애 인식 개선 활동과 이웃돕기 성금 전달 등 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 펼치며 지역사회에서 중추적인 역할을 수행하고 있다. 또한 예비 교사와 예비 행동치료사를 위한 현장실습을 적극 지원해 국공립 기관으로서의 사회적 책임을 실천해 왔다.

이혜숙 원장은 “아이들의 바람직한 성장과 발달을 위해서라면 언제든지 적극적으로 협력할 의향이 있다”며 “짧은 실습 기간 동안 눈에 띄는 변화를 확인하기는 쉽지 않지만, 교사와 실습생의 작은 실천들이 모여 결국 아이들의 긍정적인 변화를 이끌게 된다”고 강조했다.

조정연 행동치료학과장은 “국공립 장애통합어린이집과의 연계는 행동발달 분야 전문인력 양성에 중요한 기반이 될 것”이라며 “보육 현장의 교사들이 행동중재 전문성을 체계적으로 강화할 수 있도록 대학과 현장이 협력하는 구조를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

또한 강영모 교수는 “대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과가 축적해 온 교육 경험과 인적 네트워크에 ‘서울캠퍼스’라는 강점을 더해 수도권에서도 체계적인 행동분석 현장실습 환경을 구축해 나갈 계획”이라며 “검증된 기관과의 협력을 확대해 재학생들이 지역에 구애받지 않고 전문 역량을 키울 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
