【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용) 제24대 총학생회는 지난 2월 6일 오후 3시부터 5시까지 대구 지역 참좋은 지역아동센터에서 아동들을 위한 ‘맛있는 행복 나눔’ 봉사활동을 진행했다.

이번 행사는 총학생회가 추진 중인 연중 나눔 캠페인의 일환으로, 지역 아동들에게 따뜻한 정을 전하고 대학의 교육이념과 건학정신을 실천하기 위해 마련됐다. 이날 총학생회는 치킨 쿠폰 전달식을 진행하고, 아동들을 대상으로 한 환경특강을 실시했으며, 이와 함께 지역 내 9개 지역아동센터에도 치킨 쿠폰을 전달해 나눔의 의미를 확산시켰다.

이근용 총장은 “이번 ‘맛있는 행복 나눔’ 행사는 사랑과 나눔을 실천하는 우리 대학의 건학이념을 되새기는 뜻깊은 자리”라며 “김장 나눔과 사랑의 쌀 나눔 등 다양한 봉사활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있는 총학생회의 노고에 감사드리며, 오늘 하루 모두가 함께라서 더 행복한 시간이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

참좋은 지역아동센터 권기매 센터장은 “수십 년간 아동센터를 운영해 왔지만 총장님이 직접 방문해 주신 것은 처음”이라며 “이번 만남을 계기로 대구사이버대학교와 지속적인 협력 관계가 이어지길 바란다. 대학과 총학생회의 관심과 지원에 깊이 감사드린다”고 전했다.

행사 후에는 대구사이버대학교 총동창회 신여정 사무국장이 환경교육 특강을 진행해, 아동들에게 일상생활 속 환경 보호 실천 방법을 알기 쉽게 전달했다. 이번 특강은 나눔 활동과 더불어 지속가능한 미래에 대한 교육적 가치를 함께 나누는 시간으로 의미를 더했다.
