【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자= 미래대연합(가칭, 이하 미래연합)이 24일 포항 UA컨벤션에서 경상북도당 창당대회를 개최했다. 이날 창당대회에는 김종민·이원욱·조응천 미래연합 공동대표를 비롯해 시민1000여 명이 참석했고, 경북도당위원장으로는 황재선 전 더불어민주당 영주영양봉화울진 지역위원장이 선출됐다.

미래연합은 첫 창당대회 장소로 보수 텃밭으로 분류되는 경상북도를 선택했다. 양당 기득권을 타파하고 신뢰받는 정치를 만들겠다는 의지를 표명한 것이라는 해석이다.

조응천 공동대표는 “고향인 경북에서 첫 번째 시도당 창당을 하게 돼 자랑스럽다”며“미래대연합이 중추가 돼 양당이 마음대로 할 수 없도록 캐스팅보트가 되거나 그 이상 성과를 내 대한민국의 망가진 민주주의 바꾸겠다”고 강조했다. 

김종민 공동대표는 “양당정치는 권력잡은 세력은 독주하고, 상대당은 반대만 한다. 뭐하나 결정되는 것 없이 아무 것도 못한다”고 강조했다. 그러면서 “미래대연합은 권력투쟁의 정치를 끝내고 국민 삶을 바꾸는 정치를 해 2027년 수권정당으로 우뚝 서겠다”고 밝혔다. 

이원욱 공동대표 역시 “한국정치와 국민의힘 정치, 민주당 정치에 이의있는 분들이 모였다”며 “우리 함께 경북의 일당독점 정치를 깨자”고 선언했다.

황재선 전 더불어민주당 영주영양봉화울진 지역위원장이 경북도당위원장으로 선출됐다. 황 위원장은 지난 18일 민주당을 탈당하고 미래연합에 합류한 바 있다. 변호사 출신으로, 민주당 인권위 부위원장 등을 역임했다.

황 위원장은 도당위원장 수락연설을 통해 “증오에 관성이 붙어 특정정당의 독점을 당연시하는 곳이 경북이다. 민주주의 정치의 재난지역”이라며 “경북에서 미래대연합이 희망의 끈을 놓지않고 경북 도민들과 함께하기 위해 첫 시도당 창당대회를 갖는다. 역사적인 순간이 빛나는 내일을 향한 승리의 시작이라고 믿는다. 새로운 시대의 마음을 담고있는 동지들을 믿고 함께 해나가겠다”고 선언했다. 

한편 이날 경북 지역에서 칠곡군수를 역임한 장세호 전 더불어민주당 경북도당위원장과 천기화 한동R&C그룹 회장 등이 미래연합에 영입 인사로 합류했다. 

장세호 전 위원장은 “거대양당 혐오정치가 극단에 이르렀다. 이를 종식시키고 정치 미래를 새롭게 열어가겠다고 미래대연합이 나섰다”며“지금 제3지대 바람이 불고 있다. 모두 연 하나씩 들고 배 하나씩 띄워 새로운 정치문화를 경북에서부터 만들어 나가자”고 선언했다. 천기화 박사는 “미래대연합과 함께 행복한 사회를 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”는 포부를 밝혔다.
