이번 공공데이터 평가는 '공공데이터의 제공 및 이용 활성화에 관한 법률' 제9조에 따라 매년 실시되며, ▲개방․활용 ▲품질 ▲관리체계 등 3개 영역(11개 세부지표)을 평가하여 각 기관을 우수, 보통, 미흡 3개 등급으로 분류한다.

 한국장학재단은 98.24점을 기록하며 전체 기관 평균인 63.0점을 크게 웃도는 우수한 성적을 거두었다.

특히, 개방 및 관리체계 영역에서는 중장기 개방계획 수립 및 조기 이행, 공공데이터 제공 관련 조직‧인력 운영 등에서 만점을 받았으며, 공공데이터 활용도 제고를 위한 다양한 활동들이 긍정적인 평가를 받았다.

청년 창업(예비)자 대상 공공데이터 설명회를 개최하고, 개방데이터 민간 활용 우수사례 발굴, 고객그룹별 맞춤형 홍보 등 다양한 노력이 돋보였다.

배병일 한국장학재단 이사장은 “앞으로도 데이터 품질 관리와 활용 방안을 더욱 강화하고, 우리가 제공한 데이터가 혁신적이고 효율적인 서비스 창출에 기여할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
