한국장학재단 배병일 이사장은 “국가장학금 9구간 지원 확대를 통해 더 많은 대학생들이 실질적인 학비 지원을 받을 수 있게 되었으며, 특히 중산층 가구의 교육비 부담을 완화하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 전하며, “앞으로도 교육 기회의 형평성을 높이고, 학생들이 학업에 전념할 수 있도록 지원을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
