이용기 예비후보는 7일 경북교육청 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 열고 “건강한 성장학교와 모두가 행복한 경북교육 실현을 위해 ‘이용기 희망펀드’를 출시한다”고 밝혔다.

이 후보는 “모든 학생이 건강하게 성장하고 각자의 꿈을 실현할 수 있는 교육 환경을 만들기 위해 펀드를 기획했다”며 “단순한 선거자금 모금을 넘어 인간 중심 교육과 협력·연대의 교육, 지역사회와 함께하는 교육으로 전환하기 위한 시민참여형 기금”이라고 설명했다.

이어 “모금액과 사용 내역을 전면 공개해 투명성을 확보하고, 기존 후원금의 한계를 보완하는 방식으로 운영하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

이 후보는 앞서 경북교육 정상화를 목표로 출마를 선언한 뒤, 지난 2월 4일 예비후보 등록을 마치고 도내 22개 시·군을 순회하며 교육 현장의 목소리를 청취하고 공약을 제시해왔다.

향후 그는 5대 핵심 비전으로 ▲교육비 해방 선언 ▲건강한 성장학교 조성 ▲AI 시대 ‘I-AM 교육’ ▲균형교육 실현 ▲기초학력 책임 지원 등을 순차적으로 발표할 계획이다.

이용기 예비후보는 “희망펀드를 통해 교육 비전과 공약을 실현할 기반을 마련하고, 더 많은 도민과 소통해 현장의 목소리가 반영된 교육정책을 추진하겠다”며 “학생들의 꿈이 살아있는 학교를 도민과 함께 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
