【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=문재인 정부의 2025년까지 76조원을 투입해 55만개 일자리를 만드는 ‘한국형 뉴딜’ 계획에 따라 더불어민주당 경북도당은 지역의 뉴딜사업을 발굴·건의하기 위해 국난극복 K-뉴딜 특별위원회를 구성하고 28일 금오공대 산학협력관에서 첫 회의를 갖고 경북의 뉴딜사업 검토와 향후 활동방향에 대해 논의 했다.

이날 전 현직 교수진을 비롯해 각계 전문가 20여명으로 구성된 경북도당 K-뉴딜 특위는 디지털, 그린에너지, 사회안전망, 바이오, 균형발전 5개 분야에 전문위원을 배치했다.
또한 경북도에서 추진하는 ‘능동형 스마트리빙케어 산업 육성’, ‘5G 기반 VR·AR 디바이스 개발지원센터 운영’, ‘안전신뢰기반 고성능 이차전지 기술개발사업’, ‘수소연료전지 발전 클러스터 구축’ 등 핵심 뉴딜사업과 경북도당 각 지역위원회를 통해 올라온 40여건의 사업에 대한 검토에 돌입했다.
김현권 위원장은 인사말을 통해 “중앙 중심의 접근으로는 지역의 문제를 해결하는데 한계가 있다”고 지적하고 “정부에서 뉴딜사업을 강력하게 추진하는 만큼 지역의 전문가들이 주도적으로 참여하여 구체적이고 중장기적인 지역 발전전략을 마련함으로써 경북이 획기적으로 변화할 수 있는 계기를 마련하자”고 강조했다.
이어 장세호 도당위원장은 “각 분야의 최고 전문가들이 참여해 주신데 대해 감사드린다”고 말하고 “경북의 살길이 여러분들의 손에 달려있다는 마음으로 능력과 상상력을 발휘해 달라”고 당부했다.
한편, K-뉴딜특위는 2월 중으로 분야별 팀 구성을 완료하고 3월 초까지 사업 발굴 및 검토를 끝낸다는 계획에 있으며 이후 전문가 초청 토론회와 세미나 등을 통해 의견을 수렴하여 1차년도에 추진할 ‘경북판 뉴딜’ 사업을 우선적으로 중앙당과 정부에 건의할 방침이다.
