포항상공회의소(회장 문충도) 경북지식재산센터는 글로벌IP(지식재산)스타기업으로 지원해 온 경산소재 (주)허니스트(대표 곽기성)가 ‘2021 무역의 날 기념 산업통상자원부장관상’을 수상했다고 13일 밝혔다.

포항상공회의소 경북지식재산센터에 따르면 ㈜허니스트는 2016년 설립 이후 세계인의 건강 증진을 위하여 가장 안전하고 효과적인 방법을 연구해온 R&D중심 기업으로. 화장품을 시작으로 의약외품, 의료기기까지 연구 범위를 넓혀왔다.

경북지식재산센터는 2018년 IP나래 프로그램을 통하여 처음 특허 분석을지원한 이후 2019년부터는 글로벌IP스타기업으로서 3년간 제품 출시 및 개선을 위한 특허·디자인·브랜드의 지식재산 종합지원을 하였으며, 올해는 지원 마지막 해로써 특허맵, 특허기술 홍보영상 제작, 브랜드&디자인 컨버전스, 신규브랜드 개발 사업을 지원했다.

㈜허니스트는 활발한 지식재산 활동으로 글로벌IP스타기업 사이의 연차평가에서도 ‘골드등급’으로 최우수등급 평가를 받아왔으며, 2018년 수출 100만불 돌파를 시작으로 2019년 250만불 달성, 2020년 300만불에 이어 올해는 400만불 달성이 예상되는 등 2016년 설립 이래 가파른 성장세를 타며이번에는 ‘2021 무역의 날 기념 산업통상자원부장관상’을 수상하는 쾌거를 이뤘다.

또한, 올해 특허청으로부터 경피약물전달시스템 연구 및 마이크로니들 패치 제조 기술이 그 혁신성과 우수성으로 “혁신기업 국가대표 100” 기업으로 인증을 받아 향후 글로벌 마이크로니들 패치 시장에도 진출할 준비를하고 있다.
