【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항상공회의소가 운영하는 경북동부FTA통상진흥센터가 지역 수출입기업의 통상 대응 역량 강화를 위해 ‘상반기 FTA 활용방안 온라인 실무 교육’을 개최한다.
이번 교육은 오는 4월 30일부터 5월 28일까지 매주 목요일 오후 2시부터 4시까지 총 5회 과정으로 진행된다. 최근 주요국의 관세 인상과 비관세장벽 강화 등 보호무역주의가 확산되는 가운데, 자유무역협정(FTA) 활용이 수출 경쟁력 확보의 핵심 수단으로 부각됨에 따라 실무 중심의 교육이 마련됐다.
교육 내용은 ▲FTA 법령 및 수출입 통관 사례 ▲원산지증명서 및 무역서류 실무 ▲원산지결정기준과 인증수출자 제도 ▲품목분류 이해 ▲원산지관리시스템 활용 등으로 구성돼 기업 현장에서 바로 적용 가능한 실무 역량을 높이는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
특히 교육 수료 시 회차별로 원산지관리전담자 점수 4점이 부여돼 인증수출자 제도 신규 취득이나 갱신을 준비하는 기업에 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이와 함께 포항상공회의소는 교육 이후에도 상주 관세사 1대1 상담과 FTA 컨설팅 지원사업 등을 통해 지역 기업의 해외시장 진출을 지속적으로 지원할 방침이다.

The Gyeongbuk Eastern FTA Trade Promotion Center, operated by the Pohang Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is holding the "First Half Online Practical Training on FTA Utilization Strategies" to strengthen the trade response capabilities of local import and export companies.
This training will be conducted as a five-session course every Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, starting April 30 and continuing until May 28. The program was organized as a practical training course, as the utilization of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) has emerged as a key means of securing export competitiveness amidst the recent spread of protectionism—including tariff hikes and the strengthening of non-tariff barriers by major countries.
The curriculum consists of topics such as FTA laws and import/export customs clearance cases, practical aspects of Certificates of Origin and trade documents, origin determination criteria and the Authorized Exporter (IEF) system, understanding commodity classification, and the utilization of origin management systems. The focus is on enhancing practical skills that can be immediately applied in the corporate field. In particular, 4 points are awarded for completing each training session, which is expected to provide substantial assistance to companies preparing to acquire or renew their Certified Exporter status.
In addition, the Pohang Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to continue supporting local companies' entry into overseas markets even after the training, through initiatives such as one-on-one consultations with resident customs brokers and FTA consulting support programs.
