대구 3호선 변전소 이산화탄소 소화설비 방출 사고와 관련해 대구도시철도공사가 역사 내 소화약제를 전면 교체키로 했다.

30일 대구도시철도는 1‧2‧3호선 91개 전 역사 113개소의 소화설비 약제를 할로겐화합물, 불활성가스계 등 저위험 소화약제로 전면 교체하기로 했다고 밝혔다.

이는 이산화탄소 소화설비가 작동할 경우 방호구역 내 산소 결핍으로 인한 질식위험등에 대비한 조치이다.

지난 29일 오후 6시 18분쯤 3호선 팔달시장역 변전실에서는 한 승객이 소화설비를 잘못 작동시키는 바람에 이산화탄소가 방출돼 소방관 3명, 일반 시민 등 모두 9명이 이산화탄소를 흡입하는 사고가 발생했다.

대구도시철도에서 지금까지 발생한 이산화탄소 방출 사례는 모두 6건이다.

이 중 실제 화재와 관련된 경우는 1건이고 나머지 5건은 승객의 설비 오취급 또는 오작동 때문이었다고 공사 측은 밝혔다.
