【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코1%나눔재단(이사장 포스코그룹 최정우 회장)이 4차 산업형 장애인 디지털 인재 육성과 고용 기회 창출에 나선다.

이를 위해 23일 포스코센터에서 포스코1%나눔재단은 한국소프트웨어산업협회와  장애인 디지털 인재 육성 사업 추진 협약을 체결하고 장애인 디지털 아카데미 운영과 취업 기회 창출 지원을 약속했다. 

이날 협약식에는 포스코 양원준 경영지원본부장과 한국소프트웨어산업협회 조준희 회장, 김동철 상근부회장 등이 참석했다.

장애인 디지털 아카데미는 전국의 전문학사 이상 학위를 보유(졸업예정자 포함)한 장애인을 선발해 4차 산업형 역량 향상 교육 프로그램을 지원하는 사업이다. 올해부터 2년간 운영되며 선발된 교육생은 코딩 · 웹 개발 · AI · Big Data 과목으로 구성된 24주간 온 · 오프라인 교육을 받게된다.

교육 프로그램은 △온라인 직무 기초 교육(4주), △한국장애인고용공단 구로디지털센터에서 진행하는 직무 심화 및 프로젝트 역량 교육(16주), △인천 송도의 포스코인재창조원에서 진행하는 기업별 맞춤형 과정(4주) 등으로 구성된다.

포스코1%나눔재단은 장애인 디지털 아카데미 교육생을 모집 · 선발하고 매월 인당 50만 원의 교육훈련비와 학습용품을 지원하는 등 프로그램 운영을 총괄한다.

한국소프트웨어산업협회는 소속 IT기업의 채용 수요를 조사해 디지털 아카데미 과정을 수료한 교육생의 취업을 지원한다. 직무 기초 및 심화 교육을 수료한 교육생을 대상으로 협회 소속 IT기업의 면접을 실시하고, 채용이 확정되면 각 기업별 맞춤형 교육을 진행한다.

포스코1%나눔재단과 한국소프트웨어산업협회는 장애인 고용에 대한 사회적 관심 증가와 IT서비스 업계의 인력난 해소를 위해 장애인 디지털 인재 육성 사업을 추진하게 됐다.

포스코 양원준 경영지원본부장은 “장애인 디지털 인재 육성 사업이 직무역량 향상과 취업에 실질적인 도움이 될 것”이라며 “본 사업을 통해 일자리 창출 분야에서 새로운 롤 모델로 자리매김할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 강조했다.

한국소프트웨어산업협회 조준희 회장은 “디지털 전환 속도와 수준을 결정하는 디지털 분야의 인재 육성이 중요하다”며 “포스코1%나눔재단과 함께 장애인 지원의 새로운 방향을 제시함과 동시에 국가 디지털 인재양성에도 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 포스코1%나눔재단은 유튜브를 활용한 장애예술인 대중화 캠페인 '만남이 예술이 되다', 국가유공자 첨단보조기구 제공 '희망날개', 장애인 안전 · 편의시설 개선 '희망공간' 사업을 추진하고 있으며, 발달장애인을 위한 VR직업훈련센터를 포항 및 광양지역에 개소하는 등 다양한 장애인 지원사업을 추진하고 있다.

The Digital Academy for the Disabled is a project that supports the 4th industrial-type competency improvement education program by selecting disabled people who have a bachelor’s degree or higher (including those expected to graduate) nationwide. It will be operated for two years from this year, and selected trainees will receive 24 weeks of online and offline education consisting of coding, web development, AI, and Big Data subjects.

Training programs include △Online job basic training (4 weeks), △Intensive job and project competency training (16 weeks) at the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Guro Digital Center (16 weeks), △Customized course for each company conducted by the POSCO Reinvention Center in Songdo, Incheon. The POSCO 1% Nanum Foundation oversees the operation of the program by recruiting and selecting trainees for the digital academy for the disabled, and providing education and training expenses of 500,000 won per person every month and learning supplies.

The Korea Software Industry Association supports the employment of trainees who have completed the digital academy course by researching the employment demand of their IT companies. For trainees who have completed the basic and intensive job training, an interview with an IT company belonging to the association is conducted, and once the hiring is confirmed, customized training for each company is conducted.

The POSCO 1% Nanum Foundation and the Korea Software Industry Association have decided to promote the digital talent development project for the disabled to increase social interest in hiring the disabled and to solve the manpower shortage in the IT service industry.
