【브레이크뉴스 청도】이성현 기자=부부의 사랑과 백년해로를 상징하는 원앙새 가족 100여 마리가 맑고 깨끗한 청도천 하류인 화양읍 소라리를 찾아 가족나들이를 하고 있다.

천연기념물 327호로 지정된 원앙은 몸길이 43~51cm, 몸무게 444~550g으로 수컷의 몸 빛깔이 아름답다.

여러 가지 색깔의 늘어진 댕기와 흰색 눈 둘레, 턱에서 목 옆면에 이르는 오렌지색 깃털(수염깃), 붉은 갈색의 윗가슴, 노란 옆구리와 선명한 오렌지색의 부채꼴 날개깃털(은행잎깃) 등을 가지고 있다.

암컷은 갈색 바탕에 회색 얼룩이 있으며 복부는 백색을 띠고 눈 둘레는 흰색이 뚜렷하다.

 Natural monument Mandarin duck family outing to Cheongdocheon

A family of about 100 mandarin ducks, symbolizing conjugal love and a 100-year-old road, are having a family outing in Sora-ri, Hwayang-eup, which is the lower reaches of the clean and clear Cheongdo Stream.

Designated as Natural Monument No. 327, the mandarin duck has a body length of 43 to 51 cm and a weight of 444 to 550 g, and the male body color is beautiful.

It has multicolored drooping braids, white eye circumference, orange feathers from the chin to the side of the neck (beard feathers), reddish brown upper chest, yellow flanks and bright orange fan-shaped wing feathers (ginkgo leaf feathers).

The female has gray spots on a brown background, the abdomen is white, and the eye circumference is distinctly white.
