【브레이크뉴스 청도】이성현 기자=청도군(군수 김하수)은 1일, 농림축산식품부가 올해 처음으로 추진하는 농촌소멸 대응 빈집재생지원사업에 선정됐다.

군에 따르면 이번 사업은 마을 단위 빈집 밀집 구역 내 활용 가능한 빈집을 재생해 생활 인구 유입을 촉진하는 주거·경제·문화 공간 등으로 변모시키는 사업이다.

 사업 기간은 2025년부터 2027년까지 3년간이며, 지구당 21억 원의 예산이 지원된다. 또한 빈집 재생 사업의 지속성을 위해 민간기관과 협업하는 방식으로 진행된다.

이번 공모에는 총 6개 지자체가 신청했으며, 대면평가와 현장 평가를 거쳐 최종적으로 경북 청도군, 경남 남해군, 전남 강진군이 선정됐다.

청도군의 주요 사업 계획으로는 화양읍 다로리 일대 빈집 8호를 리모델링해 ‘체류형 마을호텔’로 운영하고, 빈집 2호는 마을 주민들과 함께 사용할 수 있는 마을 서점, 마을 영화관 등의 ‘공동 이용시설’로 활용하는 것이다. 이를 통해 마을 공동체를 활성화하고 농촌 빈집의 가치를 재창출하는 데 중점을 두고자 한다.

김하수 청도군수는 “이번 공모사업을 통해 확보된 자금을 활용해 밀집된 빈집을 재생함으로써 지속 가능한 농촌 공간을 조성하고, 생활 인구 유입을 촉진해 지역 경제를 활성화하며 농촌 인구의 소멸 위기 극복에 기여할 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.

Cheongdo-gun’s main business plan is to remodel 8 empty houses in Darori, Hwayang-eup and operate them as ‘residential village hotels’ and utilize 2 empty houses as ‘common facilities’ such as a village bookstore and village movie theater that can be used by village residents. Through this, the focus is on revitalizing the village community and recreating the value of empty houses in rural areas.

Cheongdo-gun Governor Kim Ha-su said, “We expect that by using the funds secured through this public offering to regenerate densely packed empty houses, we will create sustainable rural spaces, promote the influx of residents, vitalize the local economy, and contribute to overcoming the crisis of extinction of the rural population.”
