26일 군에 따르면 이날 간담회는 김하수 청도군수를 비롯해 행정안전복지국장, 문화환경건설국장, 민원과장 등 간부 공무원들과 다양한 직급 및 연령의 일선 공무원이 참석한 가운데 자유로운 분위기 속에서 민원응대를 하면서 직원들 개개인이 겪었던 고충을 이야기하는 허심탄회한 시간을 가졌다.

김하수 청도군수는 신규직원들의 민원응대 시 겪게 되는 고충, 단속 및 지도 점검 업무를 하면서 실제로 현장에서 맞닥뜨려야 하는 어려움, 그리고 현재 민원처리에 관한 법률 시행령개정안에 따른 후속 조치 등 민원응대 공무원의 고충을 경청하고 노고를 격려했다.

또한 청도군은 민원인의 위법행위로부터 안전한 근무 환경을 조성하기 위하여 모의훈련 실시, 민원처리 담당자 휴대용 보호장비 운영, 녹음전화, 힐링프로그램 운영 등 실질적인 일선 민원담당 공무원에 대한 지원 정책을 지속 추진하고 있다.

김하수 청도군수는 “이번 민원공무원 간담회를 통해 최일선에서 근무하는 민원업무 직원들의 고충에 대해 다시 한번 생각하게 되는 소중한 시간이었고, 앞으로 보다 나은 환경에서 근무할 수 있도록 사기 진작을 위한 인센티브 제공과 다양한 지원 정책을 지속적으로 발굴하고 추진할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.
