【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시가 설 명절을 앞두고 일시적인 자금 수요 증가로 어려움을 겪는 지역 중소기업을 위해 대규모 운전자금 지원에 나섰다.

시는 인건비, 납품대금, 원자재 결제 등으로 자금 부담이 커지는 명절 전 경영 안정을 돕기 위해 총 1,500억 원 규모의 중소기업 운전자금 이차보전 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 지역 내 중소기업이 금융기관에서 운전자금을 대출받을 경우 연 4%의 이자를 시가 지원하는 제도다. 지원 대상은 포항시에 사업장을 둔 제조업, 건설업, 벤처기업 등 13개 업종의 중소기업으로, 업체당 최대 5억 원까지 융자 추천을 받을 수 있다. 이차보전 기간은 대출 실행일로부터 1년이다.

이와 함께 포항시는 제조업종 중소기업을 대상으로 시설자금 이차보전 사업도 상시 운영 중이다. 사업장 신축·증개축, 건축물 매입, 생산설비 도입 등 시설 투자에 필요한 자금에 대해 이자를 지원한다.

특히 올해는 ‘3년 연속 지원 제한’ 규정을 폐지해 반복적인 자금 수요가 있는 기업도 지원받을 수 있도록 제도를 개선했다. 시는 이를 통해 더 많은 기업이 실질적인 금융 혜택을 받을 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

시는 설 명절 전 자금 수요가 집중되는 점을 고려해 사전 신청 시 명절 이전 대출 실행이 가능하다고 설명하며, 기업들의 적극적인 신청을 당부했다.

) 온라인 시스템을 통해 가능하며, 자금 소진 시까지 수시로 접수한다.

The city announced a KRW 150 billion Secondary Guarantee program for working capital for SMEs to help stabilize operations before the holiday, when financial burdens such as labor costs, delivery payments, and raw material payments increase.

This program provides a 4% annual interest rate subsidy for working capital loans from financial institutions to local SMEs. Eligible SMEs in 13 industries, including manufacturing, construction, and venture companies with operations in Pohang City, can receive recommendations for loans of up to KRW 500 million per company. The Secondary Guarantee period is one year from the loan disbursement date.

Furthermore, Pohang City is also operating a permanent Secondary Guarantee program for facility funds for SMEs in the manufacturing sector. Interest subsidies are provided for capital investments, such as new construction, expansion, and renovation of business premises, building purchases, and the introduction of production facilities.

This year, the city has improved the system by abolishing the "three-year consecutive support limit" rule, allowing businesses with recurring funding needs to also receive support. The city expects this will allow more businesses to benefit from tangible financial benefits.

Considering the peak demand for funds before the Lunar New Year holiday, the city explained that pre-applications can be processed before the holiday and encouraged businesses to actively apply.

Loan applications can be submitted online through the G-Fund (www.gfund.kr) system, and will be accepted on a rolling basis until the funds are exhausted.
