국회 관계자들은 K-스틸법을 ‘여야 간 이견 없는 비쟁점 법안’으로 분류하며, 본회의 통과를 긍정적으로 전망하고 있다.

K-스틸법 시행령 제정을 위해 포항·광양·당진 등 철강산업 핵심 3개 도시는 공동 대응 체계를 구축하고, 산업 현장의 목소리가 반영될 수 있도록 국회 공동 건의서를 채택하고 기자회견을 진행할 계획이다.

전익현 포항철강관리공단 이사장은 “법사위 통과를 환영하며, 조속한 시행령과 세부 지원책 마련으로 철강기업들의 숨통을 틔워주길 기대한다”고 말했다. 이강덕 포항시장도 “K-스틸법 통과는 한국 철강산업의 도약을 위한 전환점”이라며 “철강 3개 도시가 정부와 협력해 신속하고 실효성 있는 시행령 마련에 힘쓰겠다”고 강조했다.

To enact the K-Steel Act enforcement ordinance, three key steel-producing cities—Pohang, Gwangyang, and Dangjin—plan to establish a joint response system, adopt a joint National Assembly proposal, and hold a press conference to ensure the voices of the industry are reflected.

Jeon Ik-hyeon, Chairman of the Pohang Iron and Steel Management Corporation, said, "We welcome the passage of the Act by the Legislation and Judiciary Committee and hope that the swift enactment of the enforcement ordinance and detailed support measures will provide relief to steel companies."
