포항시는 오는 2월 3일부터 포항사랑상품권 600억 원을 10% 특별할인율로 판매한다고 밝혔다. 이번 할인 판매는 예산 소진 시 조기 종료된다.

발행 규모는 지류형 상품권 200억 원과 카드형·모바일형(포항사랑카드) 400억 원 등 총 600억 원이다. 특히 지류형 상품권은 지난해 설 명절보다 50억 원 늘어난 규모로, 전통시장과 골목상권을 중심으로 유통해 소상공인의 카드 수수료 부담을 완화할 계획이다.

시는 지난 1월 16일 발행한 포항사랑카드 230억 원이 조기 완판된 데 이어, 이번 설 명절 특별 할인 판매까지 포함해 연초에만 총 830억 원의 포항사랑상품권을 공급하며 지역 경기 회복에 속도를 내고 있다.

이번 특별 할인 기간에는 할인율을 기존 9%에서 10%로 상향하고, 개인 구매 한도도 기존 월 40만 원에서 50만 원으로 확대했다. 포항사랑카드 보유 한도 역시 70만 원에서 80만 원으로 조정해 설 명절 소비 증가에 따른 시민 가계 부담을 완화하고 지역 내 소비 촉진과 소상공인 매출 증대를 도모한다는 방침이다.

포항사랑상품권 개인 구매 한도는 지류형과 카드형·모바일형을 합산해 월 50만 원까지이며, 지류형 상품권은 최대 30만 원까지 구매할 수 있다. 포항사랑카드 보유 한도는 80만 원이다.

지류형 상품권은 지역 내 165개 판매 대행 금융기관에서 구매할 수 있으며, 카드형·모바일형은 2월 3일 오전 0시 15분부터 ‘iM샵’ 앱 또는 104개 판매 대행 금융기관 영업점을 통해 충전 가능하다. 판매 대행 금융기관 목록은 포항사랑상품권 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있다.

포항사랑카드는 실물 카드 결제뿐 아니라 삼성페이, 네이버페이 QR, 모바일 앱 ‘iM샵’ QR 등 다양한 결제 수단을 지원하며, 지역 내 2만5,150여 개 가맹점과 타보소 택시 앱 자동결제, 먹깨비 배달앱 등에서도 사용할 수 있다.

이강덕 포항시장은 “연초 대규모 포항사랑상품권 발행이 시민과 소상공인 모두에게 따뜻한 설 명절을 보내는 데 도움이 되고, 지역 경기 회복의 마중물이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 포항 경제 활성화를 위한 상품권 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 포항시는 지난해까지 누적 2조 5,886억 원의 포항사랑상품권을 발행했다. 시는 사용처 제한을 통해 대형마트와 온라인 유통 채널 중심의 소비를 지역 소상공인과 전통시장으로 유도하며, 지역 자금의 선순환 구조를 구축해 지속 가능한 지역 경제 성장 기반을 강화하고 있다.

Paper gift certificates can be purchased at 165 participating financial institutions in the region, while card and mobile gift certificates can be recharged through the "iM Shop" app or at branches of 104 participating financial institutions starting at 00:15 on February 3rd. The Pohang Love Card supports various payment methods, including physical card payments, Samsung Pay, Naver Pay QR, and the "iM Shop" mobile app QR. It can also be used at approximately 25,150 participating stores in the region, as well as automatic payments through the Taboso taxi app and the Meokkaebi delivery app.

Meanwhile, Pohang City has issued a cumulative 2.5886 trillion won worth of Pohang Love Gift Certificates as of last year. By restricting their use, the city is shifting spending away from large supermarkets and online distribution channels and toward local small businesses and traditional markets.
