청도군체육회(회장 차용대)는 지난 22일 청도베이스볼파크에서 여자야구단 ‘빈’ 창단식을 열고 공식 출범을 알렸다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 김하수 청도군수를 비롯한 지역 정치인과 체육계 인사, 야구협회 관계자, 후원사 등 다수의 내빈이 참석해 청도 최초 여자야구단의 탄생을 축하했다.

청도군 여자야구단 ‘빈’은 청도를 연고로 활동하는 팀으로, 감독을 중심으로 운영진과 선수단 37명으로 구성됐다. 선수들은 열정과 실력을 바탕으로 지역 스포츠 발전의 새로운 동력으로 주목받고 있다.

최진찬 야구소프트볼협회장은 “팀이 향후 전국여자야구대회 등 각종 대회에 출전하며 본격적인 시즌에 돌입할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

김하수 청도군수는 “선수들의 땀과 열정이 지역사회에 긍정적인 에너지를 전할 것”이라며 “부상 없이 건강하게 훈련하고 즐겁게 경기에 임해 좋은 성과를 거두길 바란다”고 말했다.
