대구테크노파크에 따르면 본 사업은 물기업이 단순 연구개발에서 벗어나, 개발 단계에서부터 수요처와의 긴밀한 협의를 통해 사업화까지 이어지는 구매연계형 기술개발(R&D)을 지원하는 사업으로, 선정된 기업에는 최대 연 1억5천만원이 지원되며, 사업기간은 단기과제의 경우 약 10개월, 중기과제는 22개월까지다.
지원대상은 대구에 소재지가 있는 물 산업 관련 기업 또는 국가물산업클러스터 입주(예정) 기업이며, 특히 수요처의 자발적 구매협약 동의서를 받거나 환경 신기술인증을 획득한 기업에는 가산점이 부여된다. 모집 기간은 31일까지이고, 오는 26일부터 31일까지 신청 서류를 제출하면 된다.
대구시는 지역 물기업의 기술개발 역량 강화를 위해 지난 2018년부터 2021년까지는 1단계로 총 25개 기업을 지원하였으며, 2022년부터 5년간 2단계 사업을 추진하고 있다.
지난해 본 사업에 참여한 9개사의 경우 물탱크, 수질측정기, 수도 원격 통신시스템, 해수담수화 설비 등의 기술개발을 통해 26억 원의 사업화 매출액이 발생하였고, 올해는 약 48억여 원의 신규매출이 발생할 것으로 대구TP 관계자는 전망했다.
특히, 유량계 전문기업인 한국유체기술㈜은 대구상수도사업본부 및 수자원 공사 등과 연계하여 ‘불감대 영역의 유량측정이 가능한 전자기식 유량계 컨트롤러’를 공동 개발하는 데 성공, K마크 인증을 획득했다. 또한 조달청 우수제품 지정을 통하여 지난해 말에만 1.5억원의 직접적인 사업화 매출액이 발생하는 등 관련 아이템의 사업화에 박차를 가하고 있어 향후 큰 성과가 기대된다.
