【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 지난 20일 교내 백주년기념관 5층 세미나실에서 일본 시즈오카복지대학과 ‘한국-일본 대학생 글로벌 역량 강화 세미나’를 개최했다.

22일 학교측에 따르면 이번 세미나는 글로벌 고등교육 혁신 콘텐츠를 활용한 선도 모델 발굴 및 글로컬 지·산·학 협력체계 구축을 위해 올해 3월 개최한 ‘한국-일본 글로컬 지산학 협력 온라인 세미나’에 이어 오프라인 심화 포럼을 통해 주제 연구의 고도화를 목적으로 하고 있다.

양 대학 학생들은 복지 및 아동 분야에 대한 주제 발표를 통해 국가별, 지역별, 전공별 글로컬 협력체계를 구축하고, 정기적인 학생교류를 확대함으로써 지역사회와 연계한 공동의 가치를 창출해 나가기로 했다.

방문단은 세미나에 앞서 동국대학교 부속유치원 방문하여 불교 종립대학 유아교육의 우수성을 체험하고, 지역사회 복지시설을 견학하여 양국의 운영 시스템을 비교 학습했다.

이유경 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 국제교류처장은 “우리대학은 현재 글로벌 고등교육 혁신 모델을 통해 지역 산업수요 기반 글로컬 지·산·학 협력체계와 하이테크 교육 지원 시스템을 선도하고 있다며, ”한국과 일본은 국가 전 분야에서 협력과 교류를 강화해 나가고 있는 만큼 글로벌 인재 양성을 위한 다양한 콘텐츠 교류와 협력이 필요하다”고 말했다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스 김현수 사회복지학과장은 “복지로 특화되어있는 일본 자매대학과의 학술 및 학생 교류는 고령화되어 가는 우리 사회에 많은 시사점과 협력 분야가 있으며, 학과 경쟁력 확보를 위해서 지역 교육기관과 연계한 글로벌 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

 Dongguk University WISE Campus Holds Global Capacity Building Seminar for Korean-Japanese University Students

On the 20th, Dongguk University WISE Campus held a ‘Korean-Japanese University Global Capacity Building Seminar’ with Shizuoka Welfare University of Japan in the seminar room on the 5th floor of the Centennial Memorial Hall on campus.

According to the school, this seminar aims to discover leading models utilizing global higher education innovation content and establish a global industry-academia cooperation system, and to advance thematic research through offline in-depth forums following the ‘Korea-Japan Global Industry-Academic Cooperation Online Seminar’ held in March of this year.

Students from both universities decided to establish a global cooperation system by country, region, and major through presentations on welfare and children’s issues, and to create common values ​​linked to the local community by expanding regular student exchanges.

Before the seminar, the delegation visited Dongguk University’s affiliated kindergarten to experience the excellence of early childhood education at a Buddhist university and toured a local welfare facility to compare and learn about the operating systems of both countries.

Lee Yu-kyung, the director of the International Exchange Office at Dongguk University WISE Campus, said, “Our university is currently leading the global industry demand-based global industry-academia cooperation system and high-tech education support system through the global higher education innovation model,” and added, “As Korea and Japan are strengthening cooperation and exchange in all fields of the country, diverse content exchange and cooperation are necessary for fostering global talents.”

Kim Hyun-soo, the head of the Department of Social Welfare at Dongguk University WISE Campus, said, “Academic and student exchanges with Japanese sister universities specializing in welfare have many implications and areas of cooperation for our aging society, and we plan to continuously expand global programs linked with local educational institutions to secure the competitiveness of our department.”
