【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=(재)포항테크노파크(원장 배영호, 이하 포항TP)가 지역 유망 벤처기업의 기술사업화와 창업 생태계 활성화를 위해 ‘2025년 포항 벤처기업육성촉진지구 활성화 사업’에 참여할 기업을 오는 4월 30일까지 모집한다.

‘벤처기업육성촉진지구’는 「벤처기업육성에 관한 특별조치법」 제18조에 따라 지정된 지역 중심의 혁신 거점으로, 대학, 연구소, 벤처기업 등이 집적되어 기술 창업과 산업화가 활발히 이뤄지는 공간이다. 포항시는 지난 2011년 남구 지곡동과 효자동 일원 2.13㎢를 촉진지구로 지정받았으며, 2025년 2월 기준 총 171개 기업이 입주해 활발한 기술 창업 활동을 전개하고 있다.

이번 사업은 경상북도와 포항시의 지원을 받아 2021년부터 추진되고 있으며, 촉진지구 내 입주한 중소·벤처기업의 기술 경쟁력 확보와 시장 진출을 위한 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공한다. 지난해에는 23개 기업이 참여해 총 489억 원의 매출 증가와 49명의 신규 고용, 391억 원 규모의 투자 유치, 34억 원 규모의 과제 수주 등 눈에 띄는 성과를 거둔 바 있다.

올해 사업은 ▲시제품 제작·시험분석·인증 등 사업화 기반 강화 ▲공공조달시장 진입 지원 ▲R&BD 기획 역량 강화 ▲제품 고급화 ▲홍보·마케팅 등 시장 진출 ▲IR 컨설팅 등 투자 유치 지원 등으로 구성되며, 최대 1,500만 원까지 지원된다. 총 20개 기업이 선정될 예정이다.

Pohang Technopark (Director Bae Young-ho, hereinafter Pohang TP) is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘2025 Pohang Venture Business Promotion Zone Activation Project’ until April 30 to promote technology commercialization and startup ecosystem for promising local venture companies.

The ‘Venture Business Promotion Zone’ is a regional innovation hub designated according to Article 18 of the ‘Special Measures Act on Venture Business Promotion’, where universities, research institutes, and venture companies are concentrated to actively promote technology startups and industrialization. In 2011, Pohang City designated 2.13㎢ of the area around Jigok-dong and Hyoja-dong in Nam-gu as a promotion zone, and as of February 2025, a total of 171 companies have moved in and are actively conducting technology startup activities.

This project has been implemented since 2021 with the support of Gyeongsangbuk-do and Pohang City, and provides customized programs for securing technological competitiveness and market entry of small and medium-sized venture companies located in the promotion zone. Last year, 23 companies participated and achieved notable results such as a total increase of 48.9 billion won in sales, 49 new jobs, 39.1 billion won in investment attraction, and 3.4 billion won in project orders.

This year's project consists of ▲ strengthening the commercialization foundation such as prototype production, test analysis, and certification ▲ support for entering the public procurement market ▲ strengthening R&BD planning capabilities ▲ product sophistication ▲ market entry such as public relations and marketing ▲ support for investment attraction such as IR consulting, etc., and up to 15 million won will be supported.
