【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항테크노파크(원장 배영호, 이하 포항TP)는 지난 20일, 경상북도와 공동으로 도내 원자력 및 수소산업 육성과 정책 개선 방향 도출을 위한 ‘미팅데이(Meeting Day)’를 개최했다고 21일 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 경상북도 홍석표 에너지산업국장을 비롯해 앵커기업인 한국수력원자력, 두산에너빌리티, 효성중공업과 경북 지역의 원자력·수소 관련 기업 관계자 및 공무원 등 약 70명이 참석해 경북 에너지 산업 진흥과 기업 지원 방안을 논의했다.

이번 미팅데이는 지난해 9월 열린 ‘미트업데이(Meet-Up Day)’의 후속 행사로▲경상북도 원자력·수소 산업 현황 및 기업 육성 정책 소개 ▲원자력·수소 기업의 건의사항 청취 및 정책 개선 방향 논의 등 자유로운 토의 형식으로 진행됐다.

한편, 경상북도는 탄소중립 실현의 핵심인 원자력과 수소에너지, 신재생에너지산업을 경북의 미래 핵심 먹거리 산업으로 육성하고 있으며, 포항TP는 이를 뒷받침하기 위해 원자력·수소 전문 기업 육성을 위한 기반 조성, 사업화 지원등다양한 프로젝트를 추진하고 있다.

포항TP 배영호 원장은 “이번 미팅데이는 경상북도의 원자력·수소산업생태계 조성과 혁신 역량 강화를 위한 중요한 자리였다”며, “앞으로도경상북도와 긴밀히 협력해 원자력 및 수소산업에 대한 적극적인 지원책을 마련해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Pohang TP Holds ‘Meeting Day’ to Foster Nuclear and Hydrogen Industries

Meanwhile, Gyeongsangbuk-do is fostering nuclear power, hydrogen energy, and new and renewable energy industries, which are key to achieving carbon neutrality, as the future core food industries of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Pohang TP is promoting various projects to support this, such as establishing a foundation for fostering specialized nuclear power and hydrogen companies and supporting commercialization.

Pohang TP Director Bae Young-ho said, “This meeting day was an important opportunity to create an ecosystem for the nuclear power and hydrogen industries in Gyeongsangbuk-do and strengthen innovation capabilities,” and added, “We will continue to work closely with Gyeongsangbuk-do to establish active support measures for the nuclear power and hydrogen industries.”
