【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=(재)포항테크노파크(원장 배영호·이하 포항TP) 경북디지털혁신본부는 지역 제조업체의 디지털 전환 촉진을 위한 ‘경북 영천 DX 밋업데이’를 지난 24일 영천 스타컨벤션에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA), 경상북도, 영천시가 함께하는 ‘지역 자율형 디지털 혁신프로젝트(영천)’의 일환으로 마련됐다. 사업은 기초제조산업(뿌리·자동차부품 산업)의 DX 확산 기반을 구축하고, 지역 기업 간 협력 모델을 조성하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.

행사에는 경상북도와 영천시 관계자, 참여기관 및 지역 기업 80여 명이 참석했으며, 포항TP는 영천시 제조기업 30개사로 구성된 ‘영천 DX전환 협의체’를 공식 출범하고 위촉식을 진행했다. 협의체는 앞으로 기업 수요 기반 디지털 전환 과제 발굴과 기업 간 협력 체계 마련 역할을 맡게 된다.

현장에서는 올해 사업에 참여한 경북자동차임베디드연구원, ㈜니어네트웍스, ㈜투비스의 주요 실증 성과가 공유됐으며, 기초제조 산업 기술 동향, 디지털 제조혁신의 필요성, 향후 도입 방향 등을 주제로 전문가 강연도 이어졌다.

포항TP는 영천 지역 기업들과 함께 공정개선, 스마트안전, 에너지 효율화 실증을 추진 중이며, 기초제조산업 현장의 실질적 요구를 기반으로 한 맞춤형 디지털 전환 생태계 구축에 속도를 내고 있다.

배영호 포항TP 원장은 “이번 협의체 출범은 영천 기초제조기업의 디지털 전환 본격화를 알리는 의미 있는 첫걸음”이라며 “기업 간 협력과 실증 중심 DX 확산을 통해 지역 제조산업의 새로운 성장 모델을 만들고, 연계사업 및 확산 전략을 지속 추진해 지역 산업의 중장기적 변화로 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

'DX Meetup Day' Held in Yeongcheon… Regional Manufacturing Digital Transformation Kicks Off

The Gyeongbuk Digital Innovation Headquarters of Pohang Technopark (Director Bae Young-ho, hereinafter Pohang TP) announced that it held the 'Gyeongbuk Yeongcheon DX Meetup Day' at the Yeongcheon Star Convention on the 24th to promote digital transformation in local manufacturers.

This event was organized as part of the 'Regional Autonomous Digital Innovation Project (Yeongcheon)', a joint initiative of the Ministry of Science and ICT, the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and Yeongcheon City. The project aims to establish a foundation for DX expansion in basic manufacturing industries (roots and automotive parts industries) and foster a collaborative model among local companies.

Approximately 80 people, including officials from Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Yeongcheon City, participating organizations, and local companies, attended the event. Pohang TP also officially launched and held an appointment ceremony for the 'Yeongcheon DX Transformation Council,' comprised of 30 manufacturing companies in Yeongcheon City. The council will be responsible for identifying digital transformation tasks based on corporate needs and establishing a collaborative framework between companies.

At the event, key demonstration achievements from this year's project participants—Gyeongbuk Automotive Embedded Research Institute, Near Networks, Inc., and Tuvis Co., Ltd.—were shared. Expert lectures also covered topics such as technological trends in the basic manufacturing industry, the need for digital manufacturing innovation, and future directions for adoption.

Pohang TP is working with Yeongcheon companies to demonstrate process improvement, smart safety, and energy efficiency, accelerating the establishment of a customized digital transformation ecosystem based on the practical needs of the basic manufacturing industry.

Pohang TP Director Bae Young-ho stated, "The launch of this council is a meaningful first step in signaling the full-scale digital transformation of Yeongcheon's basic manufacturing companies. We will create a new growth model for the local manufacturing industry through inter-company collaboration and the expansion of demonstration-driven DX. We will also continue to pursue linked projects and expansion strategies to drive mid- to long-term transformation of the local industry."
