【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단(이사장 배광식) 서변숲도서관이 지역 주민들의 문화적 소양 함양을 위한 '2025년 하반기 문화강좌' 수강생을 모집한다.

이번 정규 과정은 9월부터 12월 초까지 총 12주간 진행되며 총 13개 강좌에 219명을 모집해 상반기 운영 규모를 대폭 확대했다.

유아 대상 강좌는 도서관과의 첫 만남을 소중하게 여기는 차원에서 기획됐다. 5-6세를 위한 '와글와글 그림책 동화 세상'은 책과 친숙해질 수 있는 기회를 제공하며, 6-7세 대상 '영어그림책 스토리텔링'은 자연스러운 언어 습득을 돕는다. 7세 대상 '손으로 만지고 생각하는 놀이 수학'은 체험을 통한 수학적 사고력 개발에 중점을 둔다.

초등학생 강좌는 기초 학습 능력 향상에 초점을 맞췄다. 1-3학년을 위한 'Hip한 Reading'은 독서를 통한 영어 학습을, 3-4학년 대상 '생각이 자라는 한국사 놀이터'는 놀이를 통한 역사 체험 학습을 제공한다.

성인 강좌는 총 8개로 가장 다양하게 구성됐다. '어른들을 위한 그림책 함께 읽기'와 '지적 대화를 위한 교양 한국사' 같은 인문학 강좌부터, '색연필 보타니컬 아트', '힐링 코바늘 손뜨개', '펜으로 기록하는 일상: 어반드로잉' 등의 예술·창작 강좌까지 폭넓은 선택권을 제공한다.

도서관 관계자는 "지역 주민들의 자기계발과 삶의 질 향상에 실질적으로 도움이 되는 수준 높은 강좌들을 엄선해 준비했다"며 "단순한 지식 전달을 넘어 참여자들이 배움의 즐거움과 성취감을 동시에 느낄 수 있는 유익하고 의미 있는 시간이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.

The Seobyeon Forest Library of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation (Chairman Bae Gwang-sik) is recruiting students for its "2025 Second Half Cultural Course," designed to foster cultural literacy among local residents.

This regular course will run for 12 weeks from September to early December. A total of 219 students will be enrolled in 13 courses, significantly expanding the program's scale for the first half of the year.

The courses for young children are designed to cherish their first encounter with the library. "Waggle Waggle Picture Book Fairy Tale World" for 5-6 year-olds provides an opportunity to become familiar with books, while "English Picture Book Storytelling" for 6-7 year-olds promotes natural language acquisition. "Hand-on Math: Playful Thinking" for 7 year-olds focuses on developing mathematical reasoning skills through hands-on experience.

The elementary school course focuses on improving basic learning skills. "Hip Reading," for grades 1-3, focuses on English learning through reading, while "Korean History Playground for Growing Thoughts," for grades 3-4, offers experiential historical learning through play.

The adult courses, with a total of eight, offer the most diverse selection. They range from humanities courses like "Reading Picture Books Together for Adults" and "Korean History for Intellectual Conversation," to arts and creative writing courses like "Colored Pencil Botanical Art," "Healing Crochet," and "Recording Everyday Life with a Pen: Urban Drawing."

Library officials stated, "We have carefully selected and prepared high-quality courses that will provide practical help for local residents' self-development and quality of life. We hope these courses go beyond simply imparting knowledge and provide participants with a meaningful and enriching experience, allowing them to experience the joy of learning and a sense of accomplishment."
