이어 “오늘의 신도청이 있기까지 삶의 터전을 옮기며 도청신도시와 북부권 발전에 함께해 준 주민들과 공직자들에게 깊이 감사드린다”며 도청 이전 10년의 의미를 되새겼다.

또 “행정통합은 경북의 균형발전과 성장 기반을 만드는 생존 전략이자 도청신도시가 행정 중심 복합도시로 도약하는 기회가 될 것”이라며 “경북의 도전과 노력이 지역 발전과 대한민국 균형발전에 기여할 수 있도록 도민과 함께 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
