최근 인천에서 발생한 라면형제 사고처럼 코로나19로 인해 비대면 수업이 진행됨에 따라 집에 홀로 남겨진 아동비율이 예년에 비해 증가하였고 이로 인해 가정 내 사고 발생 또한 증가하였다.

금번 물품 기부는 이러한 가정 내 사고 대응에 상대적으로 취약할 수 밖에 없는 미혼모 가정의 ▲가정 내 사고 예방 ▲위생 관리 등을 지원하는 목적으로 가정용 소화기와 덴탈 마스크, 세제 수세미 등을 전달하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

특히 이번 기부는 중진공이 중소기업 물품을 구매하면 해당 중소기업이 그 수량만큼 추가적으로 기부하는 1:1 매칭형 방식으로 진행되어 의미를 더했다. 이렇게 마련된 물품은 미혼모협회 아임맘을 통해 지역 내 미혼모 가정으로 전달될 예정이다.

이상국 중진공 대구경북권경영지원처장은 “코로나19로 인해 가정 내 사고에 취약해진 미혼모 가정을 위해 이번 기부를 준비했다”면서, “이번 기부를 통해 미혼모 가정의 사고 예방에 도움이 됐으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.
