【브레이크뉴스 경북 경주】이성현 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 원흥대)는 지난 9일 양남면 나아리 한마음동산 일원에서 새봄맞이 지역과 함께하는 환경정화활동 및 코로나 방역물품 전달식 행사를 실시했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 정재훈 한수원 사장, 이상현 노동조합 수석부위원장, 원흥대 월성원자력본부장을 포함한 월성본부 직원들 및 최인접마을인 나아·나산·봉길 이장, 양남·양북·감포 3개 읍면 발전협의회, 이장협의회장 등의 주민대표들이 참석했다.

이날 참석자들은 먼저 나아리 해변 청소, 한마음동산 내 운동기구 도색 등 환경정화활동을 시행했다. 한마음동산은 부지 12만 7천평을 활용해 친환경 녹지공간으로 조성되었으며, 운동장, 국궁장 등의 체육시설을 갖추고 있어 현재 연간 2만 4천명의 관광객이 방문한다.

또한 한마음동산 관리는 지역주민들이 설립한 나아협동조합에서 담당하고 있어 일자리 창출과 소득 증대 등 지역경제에도 크게 기여하고 있다.

환경정화활동 이후에는 방역물품 전달식을 가졌다. 전달된 방역물품은 마스크 약 40만장으로 이는 동경주 3개 읍면 대상으로 한 가구당 50장 분량이다.

정재훈 사장은 “오늘 행사를 통해 지역과의 유대감이 더욱 깊어진 것 같다.”면서 “한수원은 앞으로도 지역과 상생 발전하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
