입 장 문

박승호는 문충운을 지지하며, 포항시장후보에서 사퇴합니다.

저 박승호는 포항의 미래, 후배정치인에게 길을 열어주기 위해 오늘(5일)로 포항시장 예비후보를 사퇴합니다.

8년간 이강덕 포항시장의 시정을 보며 ‘포항이 이렇게 가면 안되겠구나’ 라고 느꼈고 ‘이런 난국을 타계할 수 있는 건 저’ 라는 생각으로 이번 6.1 지방선거에 출사표를 던졌습니다.

그러나 이강덕 심판에 대한 대의는 같았지만 엄연히 후보들간의 생각차이는 존재했고, 이를 극복해내기 힘들다는 것을 알게 됐습니다.

그래서 제가 먼저 모든 걸 내려 놓아야겠구나 라는 생각을 하게 되었고, 경쟁력을 갖춘 문충운후보에게 자리를 양보하기로 결심했습니다.

저는 비록 후보에서 물러나지만 문충운 경선후보가 포항시민들에게 정정당당히 심판 받아 포항을 재건했으면 합니다.

그렇게 역사의 죄인이 아닌, 새로운 포항을 재건하는 역사의 주인공이 되어주었으면 합니다.

그리고 포항시민 여러분, 국민의힘 당원동지여러분

그 동안의 성원에 너무나 감사드립니다.

평생을 대한민국과 포항발전을 위해 노력한 만큼 이제는 후배정치인들이 올바른 방향으로 나아갈 수 있도록 조언하고 돕겠습니다.
