【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=김장호 구미시장은 3일 국회를 방문해 구자근, 김영식 국회의원을 만나 주요 현안사업 추진과 내년도 국비 확보를 위한 간담회를 개최했다.

구미시에 따르면 이날 간담회에서는 지역 주요 현안사업의 추진사항을 공유하고 중앙부처 예산안 편성 등 정부예산 편성 일정에 따른 내년도 국비확보 대응방안에 대해 함께 논의했다.

이날 구미시는 첨단전략산업 특화단지(반도체 소재․부품 분야) 지정, 기회발전특구 지정, 신공항 시대 대비 광역교통망 확충, 2025 제26회 아시아육상경기선수권대회 개최, 대한민국 문화도시 지정 등 주요 현안사업의 적극적인 지원과 협조를 요청했다.

또한, 미세전기생리시스템(MEPS) 글로벌 혁신지구 조성, 방산항공우주용 탄소소재·부품 랩팩토리 구축, 이차전지 산업육성 거점센터 구축, 차세대 고효율 전력 반도체 실증센터 구축, 메타버스 기반 산업단지 고도화사업 등 신규사업의 국비확보 필요성을 강조했다.

김장호 구미시장은“주요 국비사업의 정부예산안 반영을 위해 지역구 국회의원과 긴밀한 협력체계를 구축해 정부예산 편성 로드맵에 따라 선제적인 대응을 통해 국비 확보를 위한 총력전을 펼쳐 나가겠다"고 말했다.

이에 국회의원들은 중앙부처 정책과제와 연계한 지역 주력 사업과 대형 국가지원 사업을 적극 검토하고 역점사업들이 정부예산안에 반영될 수 있도록 함께 힘을 모아 국비확보 활동을 전개해 나가겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.
