이번 점검은 중동사태 등 악화된 국제정세로 인해 국제원유가격 및 국제석유제품 가격이 오르는 가운데, 설연휴를 맞아 안심하고 정품 연료를 사용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 진행된다.

한국석유관리원은 이번 점검에서 비노출 검사차량을이용한 집중 암행검사를 실시할 예정이며, 필요시 이동판매차량 내 석유제품 품질검사 및 정량점검도 실시하여 발생가능한 피해를 최소화할계획이다.

진경록 한국석유관리원 대구경북본부장은 “이번 점검을 통해 설연휴 동안 대구․경북 지역을 방문하는 시민들의 이동편의 만족이 극대화될 수 있도록 빈틈없는 석유제품의 품질․유통 관리를 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

 Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority conducts on-site inspections of gas stations for ‘fake oil’ during the Lunar New Year holidays

In celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday, the Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority (Chairman Cha Dong-hyung) will conduct on-site inspections of gas stations along national highways and highway interchanges with a lot of vehicle traffic in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions from February 7 to 16.

   This inspection is being carried out to ensure that genuine fuel can be used with confidence during the Lunar New Year holiday, as international crude oil prices and international petroleum product prices are rising due to the worsening international situation such as the Middle East crisis.

  In this inspection, the Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority plans to conduct intensive secret inspections using non-exposed inspection vehicles, and, if necessary, also conduct quality inspections and quantitative inspections of petroleum products in mobile sales vehicles to minimize possible damage.

Jin Gyeong-rok, head of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk headquarters of the Korea Petroleum Quality & Distribution Authority, said, “Through this inspection, we will do our best to thoroughly manage the quality and distribution of petroleum products so that the satisfaction of citizens visiting the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions during the Lunar New Year holidays can be maximized.” He said.
