이 전 차관은 이날 구체적인 5대 핵심 공약을 발표하며, 현 정부(이재명 정부)와의 긴밀한 네트워크를 최대 강점으로 내세웠다.

그는 행안부 차관 출신답게‘재정 전략’에서도 차별화를 꾀했다. 이 전 차관은“안동시는 재정 자립도가 낮다”고 진단하며“시의 재정 부담을 가중시키는 사업 대신 국가 예산과 대기업 자본이 직접 투입되는 사업을 유치해 시 예산 한 푼 안 들여도 인구가 늘어나는 구조를 만들겠다”고 강조했다.
