【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 수성구 황금1동 우리마을 교육나눔 추진위원회(위원장 김동숙)는 지난 8일 지저분하고 어두운 옹벽을 생활 속 활력을 불어 넣을 수 있는 벽화로 재탄생시키는 벽화조성사업을 추진했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 황금1동 우리마을 교육나눔 추진위원회와 수성구청소년수련관, 수성구청소년지도협의회, 청소년과동행, 동행정복지센터 등 지역 공동체가 작업 전반에 걸쳐 한마음으로 추진했다.

우리마을 교육나눔 추진위원회는 SNS를 통해 ‘마을벽화가족봉사단’ 40여명를 모집해 벽화조성을 진행했다. 가족봉사단은 황금1동에 거주하는 초·중학생과 그 가족으로 구성됐다.

고사리 같은 손으로 반짝이는 타일을 하나하나 붙이고 구석구석 꼼꼼히 색칠하면서, 코로나19로 지쳤던 아이들이 생기를 되찾고 행복한 마을공동체의 일원이라는 애향심도 싹트는 계기가 됐다.

한편, 우리마을 교육나눔은 ‘함께 돌보고 배우는 마을교육공동체’를 구축하기 위한 사업이다. 올해 수성구는 10개 마을이 사업을 추진 중이며, 관련 문의는 수성구청 교육지원과로 하면 된다.
