28일 수성구에 따르면 스마트도시 인증제는 국내 도시의 스마트화 수준을 체계적으로 진단해 우수한 스마트도시를 발굴하고 확산을 지원하기 위한 도시 인증제로 인구 50만 이상 대도시 및 50만 미만 중소도시로 구분해 인증한다.

올해 중소도시 부문에는 대구 수성구를 비롯해 서울 관악구, 송파구, 종로구 4개 기초지자체가 선정됐다.

수성구는 도시항공교통(UAM) 실증을 통한 미래 모빌리티 대응, 탄소중립 실천 활동, 스마트관광도시 조성 등 스마트 기술을 활용한 인프라 제공뿐 아니라 민간 역량과 행정 협업 역량에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

김대권 수성구청장은 “이번 스마트도시 인증 획득으로 주민이 행복한 수성구를 만들기 위한 노력이 결실을 거뒀다고 생각한다. 앞으로 행정 역량을 더 결집해 주민이 체감할 수 있는 스마트한 수성구를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.

Suseong-gu Mayor Kim Dae-kwon said, “I believe that our efforts to create a Suseong-gu where residents are happy have paid off by obtaining this smart city certification. “In the future, we will further consolidate our administrative capabilities to create a smart Suseong-gu that residents can enjoy,” he said.
